Any tips on removing the broken pc of axle in the carrier. D44 rear. Broke axle and it did not snap off flush, just enoug to keep the carrier from coming out. It has an ARB locker. tried a magnet, but that did not work. Thanks

long piece of 3/8" rod punch it out from the other side. I had to do this with my Detroit locker, it had no cross pin. Maybe it will work with your ARB.

Thanks Jeff, that was my first though, but it does have a cross pin

I broke several on my ten bolt., had same problem. The axle twisted just before breaking. The twisted splines resisted being removed. Had to put metal pieces into carrier(spider gear) so I could beat on with screw driver with hammer to knock loose. One time had to remove other axle and cross pin and push something through from opposite side.

weld some (arc) welding rod together or to the end of a small rod. Slip some tubeing over it to keep it isolated. Slide it in a stick it good..

Thanks all. Ended up taking a 1" by 1/8" flat stock, nothched the end of it to 1/2" about 4" down. It slip in beside the center pin and with a few taps, it came out.
