i gotta 94 bronco with an e4od trans it wont shift past 2nd gear i chaged fluid and filter but still have same problem is there a sensor or solenoid to fix this or more than likely internal i dont know too much about transmissions just wondering if anyone knew or had this problem

Prob the solenoid pack. I'm having some shifting problems with my 96 F250 w/ the e4od and thats the cause of it. If you still have reverse you should be ok, if not the trans may be toast.

get someone to check it for codes first. it could be something simple, the nuetral safety switch can cause this issue and it has been updated since 94, there will be a different style with a new pigtail harness.
get it checked for codes before you go replacing parts. (check all of your fuses, trans runs on o2 circuit and a shorted heater will blow the fuse)
vss is also a big problem, is your rear antilock brake light on?

the abs light is on. i havent checked for any shorts in the harness. it didnt start messin up til i went thru a deep mudhole so it may be dirt in the harness. is there anywhere i can get the updated harness?

i have seen the rear abs sensor (vss) rub the wires through against the e-brake cable, check that first. your vss can mess up and your speedo will still work fine.

if it's the nuetral saftey switch it will throw a code for mlps(manual lever position sensor) and i always buy them from ford because the come with the harness.
