Brown Mountain - Aug. 5-6

Any chance anyone is going to Brown Mountain this weekend? I was thinking of loading up my old '86 4 wheeler and going up there. Then I could ride around and look at some of the trails and then strap it back down and go truckin on a couple of them.

I got a question...on a 4 wheeler up there...do I have to wear a helmet? I got this thing when I was like 12, and I've not worn a helmet since...I don't even own one...

Could someone map me how to the trails at Brown Mountain from Hickory (Mt. View area)? Preferrably the shortest/quickest way

I was up at Wilson's creek today. The trails are just a bit down the road from the swimming area. It was hot hot hot up there. The water felt awsome

cool...so...Wilson Creek is where...in relation to HKY?

I need some directions...

It's NW of Lenoir, about 10 miles I guess, never measured it though. Wilson Creek is on all maps. Tied up tomorrow or I'd go. Both it and Brown Mtn ORA are accessed by turning off Adako Rd., which runs between Hwy 181 and Hwy 90. Both are clearly marked by signs.
