Anyone wanna make a run to Brown Mountain next weekend? I'm gonna be in town for 4-5 days. I gotta swap out my springs and do some fender trimming and then I'll be good to go.

Just be warned, there will be a ton of atvs and dirtbikes there on any weekend. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah, I know, I've been up there quite a few times. I just figured there may be more people able to go on the weekend. Plus, it looks like that'll be my only opportunity to go as well!

thats exactly right. i met one other person there the last time i was there on a monday. Its nice having the trails to yourself, just gotta be prepared for problems. The good thing is my nextel works on all the trails to my suprise.

Yeah, back when I was in high school we used to head up there after school some days. We'd rarely ever see anyone.

I'd love to, but I won't be in town until late Wednesday night (probably 2 or 3 am). Thursday will be spent swapping out my springs, trimming my fenders, and putting on the new tires. Friday would be the earliest I could go.

Uwaharrie to Brown Mountain is like Tellico is to Uwaharrie. Not much of a challenge at all, but,......in a week or so will probably be be a really nice ride/picnic adventure for the family.

Yeah, Brown isn't much of a challenge. But, there's some fun to be had and it's a place you can go and test some things and not have to worry much about breakage. If you break something at Brown, you were doing something stupid (knock on wood lest I jinx myself!). I'm only going to be in town for 4-5 days, so I need to go somewhere close for a quick run that doesn't pose much of a risk for carnage. Brown's the place!
