Anyone recommend someone in the Winston/Greensboro area? I have a little more than a 1/2 acre I need the brush/small trees removed, cleaned up , mulched etc.
Zack Hughes will fix you up 336 239 3578If I could get those fine people at Carolina Attachments to fix my brush cutter yet again, I would be glad to help you out.
We got 6-8 goats all the timeGet some goats.
FYI, I know a guy…..
Carolina Mulching is the most widely used in this area. From everything I hear, he knows it & it's reflected in his pricing too.
I'd give Jackson Stroup a call to price it out. He's up by me in the Wallburg area (basically across from the Kelly station on 109).
Glad to also tell you who I WOULDN'T use in a PM if you want. Don't really want to put somebody on blast that hasn't done me wrong (but I've heard multiple ppl he has).

This is the exact problem I had when looking to get concrete work done. It’s sad you have to run people down and beg them to take your money for a jobJackson may do a great job at a great price , but his communication skills are terrible. He will send a text, I'll answer and it'll be 24hr+ before he ever responds. He said he'd be here one afternoon and then didn't show. He texted and said he'd be here first thing this morning, I sent a text that said ok, when's first thing? I haven't heard anything from him. At this point I'd pass if he offered to do it 50% less than anyone else. I'm not mad as this seems to be the MO for a lot of these companies. Just figured I'd let you know who you're recommending.
Can't say I blame you whatsoever - I'd likely do the same. Communication and professionalism go a long way for me. He quoted a job (stump grinding) for me and my experience was opposite. He showed up same day to quote it. I actually gave the work to @Danger_Ranger, but my experience w/ Jackson was not like yours unfortunately. I won't recommend again, appreciate you letting me know.Jackson may do a great job at a great price , but his communication skills are terrible. You were recommended to me by someone you'd done work for before. You also used to ride motorcycles with Ryan McClellan, his dad and I are friends. I wanted to use someone who at least I had friends who knew or could recommend. I get that you're busy , I own a company as well. But I have to tell you , your communication skills are not good. It makes me question what my experience would be like if I hired you. I don't think I'm willing to take that risk. No need to come give me an estimate you seem to be covered up as it is. I'm not trying to be an ass to you, just give you some constructive criticism, you need to work on communication. Can't say I blame you whatsoever - I'd likely do the same. I'm actually having an HVAC job done now by a fairly large contractor in our area (after the one in Thomasville that I'd been using for years straight up ghosted me). Had these guys come out and do some maintenance work for me, things went well then had them price this unit replacement. I was told day and a half job and they'd have my AC back on the first day (i.e., no nights w/out AC). Well, they started on Tuesday of last week and I'm still w/out AC. Seems like it's been one thing after another for them (and again, they're a fairly big outfit in our neck of the woods). I told the guy that quoted the job his pitch was great...he came by, walked through the house to ensure proper sizing, etc., etc., etc., but their execution has certainly left a lot to be desired.
