Does anyone on here have a brush cutter? If so would anyone be willing to let me rent it sometime? My dad has an overgrown logging road with lots of little trees that have sprouted up. I think a brush cutter is the best way to save my back from bending over with loppers or a small chain saw. The picture below is what I am referring to, in case it has another name.

Sounds like a good job for a tractor with a bush hog. It will also mulch up the bulk of the saplings better so it will rot faster.

I have a DR brush mower that I use pretty regularly on wild privet. I bought it used off a neighbor. It has a 10hp motor on it and never really bogs down too much. If and when the motor ever goes though I'll probably step it up to a 12hp and a slightly smaller crank pulley

Just be careful with a walk behind brush mower. One of my good friends borrowed one from his neighbor. I guess he didn't think to inspect the blade and it broke, throwing it through the back of his truck. The blade put a nice hole in the rear corner of his new Tundra. This was after he restarted it in his driveway. His kid was out there too. Really lucky no one got hurt. That would have never crossed my mind, but now I think about it.
