What do yall think of this? http://www.aev-conversions.com/Vehicle_Brute.html

a buddy of mine with too much money is considering it.
His Rubi was near 30k. If he did the conversion it would tack on another 20k, then if he actualy sent his rubi to montana to get the brute conversion than he said he might as well shell out another 10k for a HEMI transplant.

it probably wont happen but you never know with this guy...

they look cool, would be nice to have a hemi.....but not practical for offroad use. Would make a nice DD.

Shoot, that's really nothing but a bunch of bodywork and a lift..

Send it to Sunray in Texas, let 'em put a LT1/4L60/Atlas in that puppy with some of their 9" hybrid axles, and THEN you're talkin!

Can't disagree with that.

That black cruiser buggy
and
1610 steering joints:smokin:

Just bustin balls on the wngrog comment, something is wrong if you're not jealous of his ride.

While the Brute is pretty badass(use to have it as my desktop wallpaper), I would prefer a clean, mildly built FJ45. That would be one rad DD.

I met Dave (owner and president of AEV) this summer out in Moab and we talked about alot of the vehicles they had been recently working on. He and his wife were testing out the new WK that they had just designed a 4.5" lift for along with sliders, integrated bumper/winch mount. All I have to say is wow, they have some great ideas and a real keen sense of design, fabrication and engineering. If he's gonna shell out that kind of $$$ to get a company to build him a rig, AEV is the place to do it.
