FYI,

Northern Tools is having a BUCKET SALE, anything you can fit into a 5gallon bucket, 15% off.

You do have to buy the bucket ( $2.99 ) but the difference can be made up rather quickly

Sale started today, ends on Feb 13th

: I asked if they had a bucket stretcher so I could fit a small generator in the bucket, the floor person was not amused !! :flipoff2:

can it hang out of the bucket or does it have to fit in like you were going to put a lid on it? I'm curious cause I may be on my way there very shortly.

They sell winches, and it would seem to me that a winch would fit in a bucket...

my point exactly. I also nee a new shop broom and the handle will fit in the bucket too.

from the looks of the picture in the front of the store, it can hang out, to what degree, I dunno, I think the item must touch the bottom of the bucket without distorting said bucket.

I didn't read the whole sign or any details, the stuff I was after was small anyway.

found this online.... http://www.thriftygrl.com/2010/02/northern-tool-equipment-sale.html

**All merchandise must fit inside the bucket for the 15% discount. Items twice the height of the bucket will be discounted as long as they fit inside the bucket. Multiple items must fit inside the bucket together. No stacking beyond the height of the bucket. Merchandise cannot be disassembled to fit in the bucket. Merchandise must be in the orginal packaging. Discounts apply to in-stock items only. No discounts on previously purchased items. No rainchecks with discount. Gift cards cannot be discounted. Not valid with other discounts or offers. Northern reserves the right to limit quanities. Bucket is not returnable.

I was looking at a never flat wheel barrow tire/wheel combo, and it was too large to fit in the bucket.

heck of a way to get some business rolling, I guess.

15% off is ok..but fill a bucket for 20 bucks sounds better..lol

that's all I needed to know. I'm on my way!

I could fit my ex-wife's head in a bucket, and take the 15% off of my child support!!

Well scratch that, I just got back home and my Northern closes at 4pm on Sundays!

Well, I was gonna tell ya that but.....

Sale goes on all week

It's my own fault for not looking it up before I left! I was just rushing to get there and back before the game starts.

They have done it in the past, but with all the packaging on crap its hard to fit stuff in the bucket. If you sign up online they send out TONs of promotions, 10% off almost weekly. and 15-20 pretty regular on bigger items. Also free shipping stuff too.. Personally I'm a big fan of their tools. I have been buying them in place of craftsman tools. I like the tool kit/sets.. Now if they would just out 16mm in the basic sets..

Do they have a walk in warranty like Craftsman?

lol you know they put that in there just for guys like us.

So the REAL magic question is, what's the most expensive item dollar-per-volume (that they have that fits in a bucket)?

I'm not sure that would work because it would fall under being disassembled. But let us know how it works for you.

I go through tons of grinding wheels, wonder what I'd save on a bucket of wheels?

"Merchandise must be in the orginal packaging."

But can you squash the packaging down to the point where it isn't damaging the merchanidse, but fits in the bucket!

Glad I saw this, I need to go grab some parts for this gokart I'm building. :)
