I am helping a friend finish up his rig and me and a few other also have rigs now so only a few parts left to complete this buggy of his. Have cash and ready to buy from the best deal i see.

1) full hydro steering. psc unless there is a better choice??

2) the brakes and the steering shaft and stering wheel combo that can pop off and that whole set up.

3) a warn winch either a 9.0 rc or a 9.5TI or a 11,500 T max.

4)a fuel cell. what company and kind to go with? He wants a very nice reliable and sturdy/safe cell.

Thanks

1) yes there is.
2) speedway motors
3) if it's a choice between those 3, your 'friend' needs to do more research.
4) this has been discussed to death. Search nOOb.

wow 1 reply? holy moly dont get crazy everyone

any more details like phone #'s or website to go check out to help the search? Thanks. and if you know a better choice or any other advice please do tell. write it down and lets see whats everyone is working with. Have a nice day.

How can you be finishing up a rig that doesn't know what fuel cell, winch or steering he's going to run? Those are typically things you decide before starting.

1. How much money do you want to spend? You can piece the stuff together, or buy some kits. Front only, or rear steer too? Rear steer brings in alot of other concerns, volume, heat, pump capacity. Huge thread on pirate - search "koh steering"

2. Look at Speedway Motors, Day Motorsports, Jegs and Summit and start searching. THey all have mostly the same, but a little different stuff. I like the fine splined adapters, but the hex adapters have worked for a long time.

3. How big is the buggy? Are you going to be using it for axle suckdown or just recovery? How heavy is the buggy? IF Your buggy is light, consider the competition winch or a m6000 sdp. If it is a heavy mofo, you may need to consider the 12,000. Are you mounting it to the axle or the body? the sdp and competition winches are lighter and do a little better mounted to the axle. an 8247 is still a badass winch, but hard to mount with its height

4. All fuel cells are pretty safe, but there are alot of options. Aluminum or poly? How big? Foam filled or not? In tank pump or not? Do you need a sending unit??

There are a million different ways to do all of this stuff.

Alot of searching and reading will do you well.

First decide exactly what you want, then start shopping for it.

if this is the josh i think it is well u r not one of them

I have a lot of friends and they have a lot of ideas and projects and things they like to work on together as friends. Thats what friends do. They do research and look up and help eachother out. He wants to get going by his birthday in NOVEMBER. :) Thanks for all the info.

You're not doing research. You're asking to be spoon fed.

Also, why did you feel the need to capitalize every letter in November?

Cause it's a good month?
You get at least 2 days off work, you get good food, good football, and usually good weather.
What else do you want? I mean, that's reason enough for me to say NOVEMBER!! with glee.

You do have some pretty awesome friends. A couple own oil companies, some own construction companies and have backyard rockpiles. A few have $60k sand buggies, while others have full on rock buggies. One or two own the fastest diesels on the east coast. Good thing thing they have you to inform them on how to spend their millions.

Seriously, can't you see how cheesy these threads are? You didn't even ask this one in a tech forum. It's like a 13 year old screaming for attention.

Yes i do have a lot of friends who are wealthy

Who cares everyone knows someone who has a lot of money and not a lot of time but wants to have stuff done. This friend of mine wants help since he cant sit here and beg and whine for answers and help from people who are mean and spend their entire life being cruel. he is rich and has money because he doesn't deal with BS. So i am dealing with it for him. GET OVER IT!!!!! answer and help out or pound sand. if you have a problem with this thread go away and get some sleep and forget you ever saw it. Thanks. ;)

nevermind

Tell your friend to call my shop, I'll be happy to source all his parts and answer whatever questions he has. 336-852-7803 ..........now have your "friend" call, not you.

ok sounds like a good idea

But i thought you only had a car service shop? bmw and high end cars? you do 4x4 stuff too? i will call him and give him your # and ask him to ask you about parts and stuff. i told him he needs to go to 4 wheel parts as well. they can really help and show and give good feedback also.

wow. who are you, anyway? if your freind is rich, why does he need you to search for the "Best deals"? buy psc and be done with it. why do you need help finding a pop off hub? they are everywhere, dude. if hes built this buggy, cant he build the shaft from steering wheel to orbital, if its even needed? full hydro, right?

yep, thats what i'd do. go right down to 4wp's and ask their advice on building a buggy. (sarcastic). my humble opinion. seriously, are you for real?

Thats what we call..."being someones Bitch"

wow. who are you, anyway? ... seriously, are you for real?

Go search. This is a common event. Sadly, he's real and not trolling. You'll need to look at posts that quote him in a thread. He'll get tired of people poking fun and change all his posts to something a touch more sensible, or just complain that people are mean to him.

hmmmm he still hasn't called.....I call bullshit again!!!

I'm a dealer for all kinds of 4x4 stuff, I just don't pimp it on here. I deal with people who are ready to spend $$$$ not call and jerk my chain.

I just found an appropriate quote for the lazy-typer set:
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."
