Our June club ride has been changed from Rausch Creek to Burning Rock, WV.

According to the site, the park has over 100 miles of trails and all trail types from mild to wild. I have never been there but have heard great things from others. They have camping on site from basic tent sites, to platform tents to cabins and RV's. Camping reservation can be made by phone or online. 304-683-9242

I have already made my reservations for RV site 4 from Thursday to Sunday. Hope to see yall there!

The address is171 Burning Rock Dr. Tams, WV 25921
(GPS Recognize Slab Fork)
This is about 15 minutes from Beckley, WV and roughly 200 miles from the Burlington-Greensboro NC area.

I won’t make it, but I’m looking forward to hearing more about it when y’all go. It’s not far of a drive so I’d be interested in going later on. From the website it seems more like mud and geared to four wheelers so I look forward to feedback and pictures!

I am in. Does anyone have an open seat? I plan on leaving early Saturday morning and camping Saturday night in the suburban. Can I setup in someone’s site? If so, I’ll split the cost. If not I’ll reserve a spot. Thanks

I will definitely have an open seat. I don't know if I can split the site or not, but I can check.

Sweet! Thanks! Let me know about splitting a site. If we can’t, I’ll call and reserve one.
I got in touch with Burning Rock. It should not be a problem to share a site. Basically, their limit for one site is for people before charging more with a max of six. They said the RV site should be plenty big enough to fit my truck and your suburban.

Thanks! I’ll square up with you on the money that Saturday.

Hmmmm, maybe.
If my rig is still in one piece after Choccoloco next weekend, i'll go.
Park looks interesting...

after Choccoloco

Good luck! As the Luke Combs song goes, “she got the best of me”

My rig suffered a severe beat down there and is currently awaiting a new transfer case and front axle shaft/u joint.

When you get done getting denied at Boat Ramp, go on down that main trail a little further and play around on Back Side. That’s a fun place!
