Coworker just got bit by this. We have a real doozy of a pothole down from our building when you just turn off the main road. The kind that knocks out a filling when you hit it. Subie Legacy w/ only like 15k miles on it. Low profile tire of course.
I got the entertainment of teaching a 30 y/o advanced-degree BME that is one of the smartest guys I know how to use a scissors jack and take a tire off, take it to the tire shop on post, get a replacement and put it back on.
"Why won't the new tire fit on?"
[me] "I'm pretty sure you have to jack it up a little more bc the old tire was flat." .
Side note - there's almost nothing non-work-related here on base... but there's a tire and exhaust shop. I'm sure they love the poorly maintained, oversalted roads here.
