Buy or not? Big 3 bailout

Stock in GM or ford worth it hoping for a bailout? I've been watching the stock for the last several weeks and wish I would have purchased at $1.60...

Anyway, GM stock was selling just around $4 Friday and now it hasn't even gon below $4.50 and slowly keeps rising.

I guess I'll put in the order unless I'm convinced otherwise...


What yall think?
 
Buy steel if you want stock. Steel prices will definately go up and no matter what happens with the market that steel will always be there and won't ever go away unless you let it rust away.

Im not looking for commidities, I'm looking for stock. Steel may be going up, but the companies that control the steel need to be worthwile to purchase...
 
I have been thinking about the same thing. I don't think any of them are going away honestly. Im going to purchase some GM stock most likely.

Agree 100%. They have a good cash reserve and really dont need much
 
I think I'm going to split my purchase between Ford, GM and Volvo (don't ask...)

However, I read a news article that Obama said that he would not let any of the big 3 go under, so thats promising, somewhat
 
UAW is trying to get a spot on the GM Board in exchange for letting up on their demands...

If that happens, GM will prob. be done as they will never let them do away with the UAW then.
