It really does suck that California is the way it is. I’ve spent some time there and the state is beautiful. I’d move to Huntington Beach right now if things were different. An awesome state that the libs and dems have ruined.

This has been brewing for a long time. Current book I’m reading

I was hoping it would break off and sink. Damn..

New York is the same way. Most of the state hates NYC, and the state laws favor the city.
NYC is the shithole of America.

Being from Upstate NY, i can say this....
The people who were in the state are leaving in droves.
The census does not lie.
Problem is, (without getting too political) they move here because the cost of living and the restrictive laws have made NY (and the rest of the north) undesirable. (not to mention the weather)

So they move here, then start voting for the same type of tax-and-spend, big-government-is-better politicians and in another 25 years or so, it's going to be the same way.

I met a couple from nyc while in Montana once. Their daughter had moved to Asheville. They had visited her and thought it was a nice city BUT, they had a few complaints. Basically thought it should be more like nyc. I chuckled and stopped talking to them immediately.

Friends in CO are saying the same thing is happening there(out of state ideals/people taking over) ruining it for the good people.

It damn sure is. It's super cool and disgusting all at the same time.

What is super cool about getting with in 20 miles of a city and it smells like sewage?

There's a lot of cool stuff in the city. There IS an odor, though. Whole area around it is an eyesore, honestly.
But inside the city is neat. All the things you see on TV and such.

Only been once, for a Pinewood Derby race in Times Square. Don't care if I go back, honestly. But it was cool to do once.

I was in and out of NYC while living upstate for 4 years. Worst shithole ever.

However, I do see your point.

We were in NYC a few summers ago and had been to Vegas a couple of years before that.Id go back to NYC over Vegas any day.
