my buddy robby has a 88 vette and both the heads are cracked and need to be replaced. what other heads will work without any serious mods? he isnt really looking for a performance increase, he really just wants to get it back on the road.

88 is the L98... basically a Small Block Chevy. The biggest differences were the cam and the TPI.

Seems like any decent flowing SBC heads should work.

I ran the Dart Iron Eagle S/S heads and loved them. The best price for the money and work i could find. I did op out for the 2.02 x 1.60 valves. I ran the head with there components with a comp cams 501 292 cam and it was a awesone combo. just my $.02 worth.
 
so any SBC head will have holes drilled and tapped in the correct places, manifolds will bolt up, brackets will fit etc?
