Yea I herd about this a few months ago. My parents live just 10 mins down the road from Fort mill. Rumor has it that Cabela's picked these locations because of the record hunting license sales in York and Greenville counties. I've herd they were top sellers in the country on licenses. Makes since because I know a ton of guys from nc that come across the line to hunt..
 
Great more of a traffic jam in fort mill. They actually had the plans for this in 2011
 
that area (Carowinds) has always had a traffic problem. I look at it as an improvement over the eyesore "mexican mall". Place already looks better since they leveled that...

That is true a cabelas would be nicer than the Mexican mall. Luckily I live on the other side of fort mill from that mess
 
hahaha... same here! I only venture that way.... well never, but I will a time or two when they finish building it.
 
Gander Mtn is opening up right down the street from my house (steel creek area right outside fortmill) also.

Between Gander, Cabelas, and the new Tanger outlets right off 485, i will be locked in with traffic unless I head over Lake Wylie. Cant get started on my house in Clover fast enough!!
 
Cabela's and Bass Pro have been looking HARD for locations in the SE since at least 2006. I worked on a lot of stuff back then that had "Confidential 150,000 SF Sporting Goods Store" as the anchor tenant. The crash killed almost all of those projects.

I know the outlets your talking about but had no idea GM was opening near there. GM is really high on their prices (from my experiences) especially on firearms and ammunition. They were over 100.00 higher than Academy on a pistol I was looking at. They all have their deals at times though.
 
But gander MTN will dicker on prices and buy used guns as well....

Thats what sets them apart.
 
They wouldnt budge on their price for me.... even after showing them online ads on my phone. Doesnt matter I'm in SC now...
 
Thats my biggest beef.

I live in SC...About 6 months ago I was at the Gander mountain in Mooresville and they guy was putting a few "new arrivals" in the gun case...I over heard a guy say to his wife they just put a XXX out Ive been looking everywhere...(as had I) I imediately wwalked over and asked the guy to see it...while I texted my Dad (who is a NC resident) to get from Coulwood to Mooresville as fast as he could...I literally ahd to hold and look at the gun for 30 minutes while this guy hawk circled me to see if I would put it down...

Making it weirder..I now own a house in NC.

I really want to take the necessary paperwork from there to the DMV and get a State issued ID...and see if it helps me.
 
I may be wrong, but I dont think you can have a SC DL and a NC ID card or SC DL & NC DL. It's either one or the other. I know SC made me surrender my NC DL on the spot.
