What cabin air filter ?
Allergies much ? SMH

What did we do before them?? Oh yeah just rolled the windows down... manually!! I have seen several that were actually moldy and don't get me started on dog hair.....

LOL, I know right ?

I actually replaced it tonight, when I pulled it out the other day the dirt and crap was level in the pleats, I smacked it a few times on the rocker to get the big chunks out and put it back in to keep the leaves and pine needle from getting into the fan before I had a chance to blow out the cowl and fender wells.

a lot of folks don't know these things exist in most cars after 2005

Oooh, thanks for the reminder.
Just checked the one on our '10 mazda5.... For the first time....
Heading out for the replacement now...

Ive never replaced one before. Guess ill take a look

I wouldn't even know where to look.

depending on vehicle, could be accessed under dash, which may have a cover over it that you have to remove to gain access to the filter opening cover ( many GM trucks ) .

Some are accessed in the engine cowl below the windshield under hood.

Toyotas are behind the glove box, have to pull glove box door/bin all the way down.

X2.... Meant to check mine this spring. Nothing worse than some nasty air vents lol

Chevy quit installing them in 03 in the trucks. They make a kit now where you can cut the hole, add the filters and install the door. I did my 06 at 100k miles last year. Evap coil was filthy, shot some coil cleaner in there and now ac works without that nasty smell.

I replaced the filters in my 99 Silverado a few weeks ago actually. I'm glad they made them easy to get to!

I did not know this, I was contemplating looking for the one in my '12 Silverado after I read this thread but hadn't gotten that far yet. Thanks for the heads up!!
