Well, i made it up to callalantee today and had a great time.... until about 4pm. MJ did great on the yellow rock garden, we made it over to welder and did the waterfall no problem. I guess i got a little excited and decided i wanted to try easy out. I knew the breakover angle would be iffy, but i figured it was worth a shot. ended up breaking a shortside front shaft, winched up(bending my apparently underbuilt 1/4" winch mount) and busting up my exhaust. I got it winched over and noticed it wouldnt go out of 4lo, turns out i had lost my transmission mount, and it had shifted sideways, unhooking my t-case linkage.
What i am getting at with all this is that i just wanted to give a big thanks to all of the CTB members i came into contact today. Everyone was exceedingly nice and helpful, and provided me with all necessary tools to swap the shaft, since i was was absentminded enough to leave town without packing a single tool.
Im sorry i dont remember names of all who assisted me, but a special thanks to Ben and the driver of the green coiled CJ.
Thanks CTB!
