he didnt see a tree stump on the side of the trail it had a rock leaning up on it as a trail marker so it was like a big ramp . it took 2 winches to get that big bitch back over and the only damage was pass mirror,a pillar,windsheild, and possibly steering box cause he has no ps now. the funny part was it was still idling on its side. just lost 2qts. atf. we set it back down fired it up filled atf used oba to reseat tire bead and beat the hell out of it them drove it back home:lol:

Looks like a good time. Can't wait to get the WJ ready to go up there. I can't believe ABE didn't make the waterfall. Did he give it a valid try, or did he just take the man-strap?

yes he give it a valid try the front 3 link has lots of bite in it so when he would ease out of the clutch it would unseat the front springs. a suck down winch is now in the plans im sure the 4 of us didnt pull him up we just held the front down so he could give it power.
 
Wish I had gone now. Troy said you guys all had fun. Looks like it was, it drizzled rain and spit snow on us last month when we were up there, not the best weather in a open top buggy. Any video from pull cable?

easy now u know vids and pics never do it any justice so we cant be hard on him because if he has never been in that position he doesent know how it feels when the front is getting light.

Don't be mad that you spent all that money building that POS and it couldn't even make it up the waterfall. Maybe if the redneck building your y-gay was competent enough to build a suspension that didn't have too much "bite" in the front you'd have made it up.

didnt that same red neck that build my jeep build your stroker and made you long arm and does all your jeep shit ... even change your water pump and oil changes lol we''ll see if he does any more work on your pos..
 
My one question, and it is not just from this video, but why run the front all the way to the top, get the rear tires against the waterfall at the bottom, then stop and try to start off again? Especially with a stick?
Why not set your line and then idle forward and use your momentum?
Not trying to start :poop:, just wondering the thinking behind it. My Jeep is a longer wheelbase, so it's not so much of an issue, but I have always just idled forward and added fuel as necessary to keep moving.
 
no offence taken it was more of not being sure of what the yj was going to do. abe did have a close call with his tj last summer and he was very lucky that we had hooked a cable up as a safety or he would have went over backward. im sure that :poop:stain is still in his seat! and i dont normally hammer on my zj like that i just wanted to test my new chromos and front gears. (thanks chase)

Chris better do that 9" swap for me so I can show your ass up on the trail one of these days:driver: His work is good. He's learning a lot about suspension design through trial and error. I like to let him build other peoples shit first, then see whether or not it works before letting him do mine. :beer:
 
ok its on i know my susp. will climb it no prob. but can u drive it ? i never said i had anything to prove with my pile but if you want to follow your more than welcome. i know what your jeep will be capable of if you are willing to put it their:huggy:
