Me (xj on 37's) and two of my buddies (xj on 33's and TJ on 35's) and a couple of other maybes are going to callalantee, but none of us have been before. I have heard that the maps are pretty much worthless and the best thing is to get somebody that knows the area to ride with. Is there anybody out there that would like to show some guys around ?? We are leaving on Thursday and will be coming back on Sunday. Any other information about the whole area/experience would be appreciated.

Hell ya, I'm in too :driver:

Trying to get a few guys to go toward the end of the month. The 30th would be nice. I know the mountain pretty good I'll help if I get to come. The maps aren't really that bad you just need to know how to read them.

i've been wanting to go check it out ,, would i be able to most of the trails with a sua on 33's locekd front ls on the d35????
would really like to go just to see what its like
how far is it from raleigh

I would think that you are alright with the 33's, but I have never been there. We are leaving from Raleigh, so if anybody else wants to follow they are more than welcome. Still in search of a trail guide tho !!!

stayed there. cool place

very tempting to wheel Calla right after the race.
I'm def not 50/50 tho so hook up with JC or RoxandMud or lockedup5 if they go. Even if I did go, I couldn't leave until Saturday morning. which puts your run later if you actually need a trail guide. Probably 10-11am at best

I will say be sure one of your guys has a winch just in case the weather is shitty or a strap to pull you down in case you do something stupid on welder or armor all.

i have a winch , but i'm sure some of the other guys have one too.

is there any campgrounds there?

i'm trying to get thurs. off but not sure yet

would def. be able to go sat-sun

where are you guys meeting in raleigh to head out

Nice campground in town, 3 miles from trails, $20. Campground at trails, $11, that is serviceable, with bath house and water/electric but I wouldn't say "nice" :)

i dont see that u will have any problems just bring a spare d35 shaft for some reason the rocks up their like them. and stay off the waterfall in a swb rig.

we have a large group going there on the 16th. The trail map is ok, it will keep you from getting lost. last time i was up there i was locked in rear only on 33's and didn't have too many problems.

i just put 35's on the yj to set up my ride height and do some fender cutting. So I figured since I already have the tires on I'll go to URE to check them out , so I went to ure today to try out the 35's , and make sure i didnt rub anywhere ,,( just an excuse to go wheeling) and they did fine ,,,I was trying to take it easy ,, but had to get on it a little on kodak rock and it seems like the d35 would hold up if I just take it easy:confused::driver: I just dont want to hold everybody up at mnt city ,,,, but i really want to go
any must haves just in case of a breakdown????
