good times

well we hade a good time. all the toyotas did good, only one birf. my thuck did awesome. i did all of armorall. i think it was the first to do it with out winchin. i can't wait to go back. try some of the knew rock gardens.

what are you calling armorall? the rockgarden beside little tellico that runs parallel with it? if so thats been done numerous times by two guys i know of. we call it pull cable. where did armorall come from? did you make it to the other gardens we marked on the map?

armorall is up the creek bed between orange and silver, coming out of the creek bed at the base of "pull cable" rock garden.

what are you calling armorall?

Armorall is the creek bed just below Little Tellico and Pull Cable. It used to be the way to Little Tellico, till Orange got cut in. Armorall is one of the places that may get closed. Too much distruction of the creek bed, and it's causing some major silting down stream. It's gonna be watched next spring to see how bad the problems are, and then a decision will be made.

We didn't get much new mapped this weekend, but I'll be posting up a new map as soon as Alan has a chance to upload the parts we did see. We are guessing that what is already on the map is only about 2/3 of the trails available out there...I think that Callalantee could rival the size of Windrocks/Coal Creek. Not quite the difficulty level of Windrocks though. We did map out a couple of new rock gardens, difficulty levels of Pull Cable, one is much longer, but has no known exit at the top...We will need to set up some work weekends in the spring. Get some body's out there to add a trail from the top of Welder/Blue over to Black (near the top of Gray), fix the bottom of Blue (we got some of the trees cut, but not all), find a way from Blue over to the Green or Pink and to get an exit from the new rock garden towards Brown.

We have been told several times by the owners that this trail is shut down due to EPA & water contamination concerns. They even went so far as to drop trees and other bruch across various parts of the trail to keep people from using it. Of course- that has all been moved by wheelers. Never heqard of any study being done- only warnings that if you were caught in the creek you would be asked to leave!
