Callalantee Sept 16-17?

Looking at going to Callalantee this weekend. I've only been there once and whould like a guide if any one is interested. We've got 3-4 well built rigs, locked, winches, etc. Post up if anybody's game. Thanks!

He is getting good at trailbossing, he'll only get you lost once or twice, and you'll only have to relocate 10-12 fallen trees.

Wish I could make it, but jeep won't go very far without a motor.

we only got lost once and it was more like 6 or 7 trees :flipoff2: get that stroker back in and we'll do those rockgardens i thought i knew the way to.
 
I think there's a group of less than 10 (no idea how many will actually make it) going for the day Saturday...most from TN, but a few of us from NC...

some of them may be staying Friday and/or Saturday night, but I know me and at least one other from this board are making a day trip out of it...

ill try to make it. 4x4grace was on our message board (4wheelingcentral.com) askin for directions, i may lead them there and we can all have a pretty good time. who likes rockgardens!?!?!

I'm meeting several guys from 4x4Grace there, so I'll guess I'll see you on the rockgardens!!

I definitely will need a trail guide...

ok i really really need to work on my jeep do some mods but i could hold off.

what all kinda vehicles are goin cuz a couple rockgardens are for the big boys only unless you wanna go nowhere and break stuff quick. no fun to just watch all day.
 
Have a good time guys. I've commited to being at the CNC4x4 beach bash or I'd come up and guide you around.

Alan A. added some more trail to our map last month. Click on this link, then print in color. If you find any thing new...or where we've made a mistake...let me know.
 
hey lomod i got our secret rock garden trail mapped on my gps, ill have it to you soon for the map!

the thread you posted in over there is all I know about who's going...looks like a wide range (including the virgin run of a Unimog)...

Webb is going from here, and is running a CJ7 on 36's...

Looking at getting there around 8am Sat. morning, hope to run into somebody who can show us around.
 
I plan on going...Riding along with Bigwaylon, or in a "New To Me" XJ. If things work out...and I buy it, I might bring it up for the EASY stuff...Just to see what she does "locked in"!:beer:
 
All right guys we will be heading out first thing in the morning. Keep an eye out fer' us. 2 black s-10's and a earliy gold bronco on trailors. Hope to see somebody tomorrow!

David, Thanks for being a patient trail guide Sat. We had a blast although sun. was not as successful. We took that "out and back" spur to the left near the top of Welder and it was a bit of a disaster. Another front shaft issue, loss of good brakes makes for using a tree to stop just before he hit us. Oh well, now he dosen't feel bad about cutting the back off the S-10. Close call, nobody got hurt and it was a lesson on extracting a rig from a tight spot. Dave's got the pics so I'm sure you'll be seeing them soon. Slim
 
David, nice to meet you and Beth. Thanks for showing us around!! Real close call on "The Loop" trail off of welder.
