I stopped by Callalantee to do some trail work before heading up to Harlan for the workday there. Did some looking around and worked on the TOW section as well as 360 a.k.a. The Tower. The old tower marked on the maps has been removed and the result is a nice improvement to Callalantee. Along with TOW on Forge Mountain this is one of the highest spots around and with the trees cleared for the old tower maintainence, it affords a beautiful 360 degree view. Not only that but with the removal of the tower the entire rock outcropping is fair game for 4x4 attack! This outcropping is a short hog back about 100 feet long. I cut two lines, one at each end of hog back and there are several lines approaching from the sides that can be taken. This is a great place to take lunch, hang out and play on the rocks, especially when the weather affords a clear view. Here are a couple of pics from TOW and 360.

your'e comitment to trail building is AWESOME! we're lucky to have people, like yourself, who are so selfless with their time. If we could get all the people who enjoy wheeling to spend 1 weekend e a lot ba year helping with trail building. we'd all better off.
Again, thanks for all you do for the community!
