Looks like I'll be signing a short term lease here, from what I can tell it's not a complete dump. Anyone seen it first hand? Does it look like a reasonable place to live? ya know, where my wife can walk the dog and feel safe and my truck will still be there in the morning.

I apologize for all these questions lately. I know 4x4 enthusiasts tend to share my views, so I prefer to ask opinions of the like minded.

It's " Lake Pine " and It's an OK complex I think, the surounding area is great. It's also a great place to walk a dog being adjacent to a nice lake w a paved walking path around the entire lake and a park. My sister drives 3 miles to walk/jog around it for excercize weekly. The fishin ain't bad either but I think you have to get a daily pass to fish there ( or sneak down there and fish at night ) :D . It's also minutes from Apex, Cary, Raleigh and Jordan Lake. Google Camden Lake Pine and check out the lake on the sattlelite veiw!!

I read somewhere that you can get the pass for free if you live in apex, but I dunno for sure.

I've been all over google maps and their 45° view. They also sent the street view car through in october. The street view is very clear. I've read some reasonable apartment reviews about the place.

I'm a little gun shy with renting sight unseen. We did that when we moved to az and ended up in a dump.

I don't think you'll have any problems w crime. You might have some fine neighbors too. It's not a dump. I see online they have pet restrictions, maybe on the type of dog?? have you found out what they allow ?

Apex has their own fishing license. I was fishing at lake pine one day and a cop asked to see my license. I showed him my fishing license then he proceeded to tell me I have to go to town hall and get an Apex fishing license but he let me fish that day. I have not fished there since

^^^^--Did you catch anything?? The lake was a the water supply for Apex and a posted/private fishing club back in the day w a boathouse and lot's of BIG Bass and other fish. We used to sneak out there and always caught lots of healthy Bass, Crappie, Bream and Catfish . I'm sure there's still some great fishing there. I'd love to fish it at night w topwater baits again.
