Anyone got videos/pics of Harlan this weekend???

I'm working on getting mine posted up.

Awesome weekend. Lots of excitement on Cream Puff

Good pics. What trail is the "step" on? Thoughts on camping? Are there facilities at the Bailey's Creek campsite? Cost? Any other info appreciated, heading up Thursday.

The steps is a small waterfall just a short ways into the trail on the left. Camping is primitive, but free on the trail. The trails are also free. It's a great place. Most trails can be done stock, but there are some awesome buggy trails. Trail 25a and 25b are pretty good if you have a built rig.

Had a great time this weekend. Awesome pictures. I'll post more when I get a chance to put them online. That step was Pinball :huggy:

whats the story of the crash on Cream Puff (?). I heard someone ended up in the hostpital? Hope he is ok.
Jake gave Cream Puff a try in a effort to be the first non-buggy to make it up. His rig started to bounce then it broke. It rolled backwards into a crowd but everybody got out of the way except his father. His father got up and said he was ok but it was clear that he was a little shaken up for a bit. As the night went on he felt more and more sore so he went to a Kentucky hospital. They said he was fine and sent him back.
After they got home he was feeling pretty bad so he went to a NC hospital. He had a few bad (broken?) ribs and a collapsed lung. He's doing better now and should be fine before too long.
I was tempted to keep quiet about this. They may not want it on the net. However, I thought I'd post it as a reminder to make sure you're in a safe spot when you watch somebody tackle an obstacle. Try to be uphill and if possible, near a protective tree.

They were talking about putting a guardrail on creampuff. It had better be pretty tall or it will just flip rigs over and make things worse.

damn, glad to hear he's doing better. i imagine that the ride back to NC in the duece didn't help anything..

he's definently tougher than most.

Jake: "Dad, you alright?"
Jakes dad: "Ya run over me boy"

guess you had to be there, but he made light of a serious situation.

Brandon, it was damn nice to meet you. I'm glad you rode with us over the weekend, even though I know you would have rather been riding with the Dibblites.:flipoff2: We'll have to do it again sometime. Maybe Labor day, or atleast Dixie. I'm dropping my motor off at the machine shop tomorrow, so we'll see how long that takes.

And, no I don't want to buy your crate 350!

Thanks for the pic, thats my new background.:fuck-you:

I was helping them work on Jeepzilla (more of a parts runner and observer to be honest) when Steve saw a father/son duo.

Steve: Is that your dad?
Kid: Umm, yes.
Steve: Let me give you a piece of advice. Never run him over. :)

It was pretty funny. FWIW, Jake drove home the duece so his father could have a more comfortable ride. I'm not sure who drove him.

There is something that has gone bad under the dash. You hit a bump and it stops running. It is something bad enough that the alternator wouldn't charge the battery enough to restart the engine. I think it is time to rip it all out and just wire what has to be there. I also need to retune the motor. It was burning way more propane then it should have been. Something like a full tank in just over half a day. I might be putting some new axles under it. If I do I am going to hit you up about some 1/4 elliptical work.

This isn't the only time you have stated this. Do you know every trail in HARLAN? Until you have seen every trail here I don't think you should make statements like this. We have alot of mid range trails that stockers can't make. If you want to come up and run some of these then I will show you personally!

Yea Ronnie, you need to make some tougher trails...I saw an Accord on Mason Jar the other day:shaking:
