This sport revolves around camping, is a camping section needed? From tent to RV,s might be a helpful informative place to swap ideas and tricks to make camping a little easier. I have noticed more and more campers involved and I think that the reason is family's. This is a growing Forum and sport. Just curious.

And here all the time I thought it was about building and trail riding 4wd vehicles! Dang, it's tough getting old

Its a big part of how I got into wheeling, needed a 4x4 to camp places I couldnt get to befor.

I think a camping section is a great idea

Seems like a good idea. There are a lot of hikers on this site, so non 4x4 related camping could go in here too.

I think it's an awesome idea!
I have seen everything from sleeping in the back of a truck, to sleeping in the bed of a truck, tents of all sizes, Slide In's, pull campers, RV's, Full size burbins and excursions.
Some people will even sleep in a bathroom, but I won't mention Dylan's name.

Again great idea!

seen a dude one time sleeping/passed out under his Toyota truck one time at the farm one time. Maybe he was just exhausted from working on it I don't know.

I think it would be a good idea too.

yes..Callalante bathroom at that.
-5 degrees with wind..or nice toasty bathroom with lp heater on the wall? It was a matter of survival at that point. Bought 2 electric blankets after that.

I have rolled up in a tarp with a jacket as a pillow and a little hole to breath through, along the side of the river at crossville too!

I try not to do that anymore. Camping section could be cool to add.

Good idea.

I went from sleeping in a tent on my trailer (rain and snow prdicted), to sleeping in my Suburban (s), a tent in the back of my dually, then a RV.
All was because of my jeeps.

Dylan, don't feel bad, I remember at Crawfords one night, it was so cold, that people slept in the bathroom and on the floor of Steve's shop.

I hate being uncomfortable... :huggy:

I love this idea. My vacations are usually planned camping trips, and to get to my destination, there's usually some wheeling involved. I camp, therefore I wheel...not so much the case the other way around.

I like the idea.
.
Sometimes it's not so much "camping" as it is being able to get where I want to go, exist with comfort or necessities, being prepared, etc. Maybe not so much as expeditionportal gets into, but we all find having things handy - onboard welders, air, water, etc. for wheelin'. This would expand into being able to sleep, eat, shower, etc. in remote (or not so remote) areas. I guess we do call that camping! :)
.
Off-road trailers/campers a sub-section? Could just be mixed in with the other too.
.
I can offer a post on my new M416 kitchen build - http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/69773-M416-Trailer-Kitchen-Shelf-build

i would love to see a camping section with different sub forums in that section.

I sorta thought this might be of interest.

Where's this going to go? Under Tech? General?
