Can anyone tell me what kind of axle this is?

I would just try to identify it myself but I can't see it in person and can't do much with the pics I have. Is it a Dana 44? It is at my buddies house in PA, his pops wants to give it to me. Anyone know?

By the way, it is out of a 70s or early 80s model Chevy 3/4 ton or 1 ton. Probably more likely to be 70s.
