I have 5.5 springs and a 1in body lift can i fit 37's or should i go with 36's i have 35's now and it flex's really good and i would like here the good and the bad of haven 37's over 36's my jeep is a street/trail jeep so let me hear what yall think.

If its a TJ, im at the same height with 36s and i could clear 37s easy.

you should be able to clear 38 or more, projek_tj has 36s on 3.5 inch springs and 1" body

but i have to ask, if you are asking this question, do you have the axles for 37s?

with the right saw you can run 49s

i have a d30 in the front and 8.8 in the back i goin to get the super 30 kit from OX locker

Might as well go to 60's front and rear. Even the 44 is gonna take some chromoly shafts upgraded joints to handle 37's. I've been through 3 driver side stock shafts and I don't have a heavy foot

37's will fit fine, but stick with some 35's and enjoy life and a thicker wallet.

Hmm, with 37's? From my experience a dana 44 can handle a 37 but i mean if you've been breakin shafts that much then i guess not. m Yea i guess the turnin point is really 37's either gotta step it up to 60's, drop $$ on some molyshafts and good joints for a 44 or just stick with 35" tires.

Although i disagree with everyone who thinks a dana 30 can handle a 35" tire cause everyone i know that actually wheels there jeep with 35's is constantly breaking dana 30 parts, especially balljoints and u joints.

If you have any amount of finesse, a D30 will last plenty long on 35's. I wheeled mine on 35's with an ARB in the front, and the only problem I ever had was u-joints rusting apart from mud and grit.

yeah, with any amount of skill and good sense a dana 30 can take a lot of abuse, especially a newer one with the larger ujoints

I'v been running waggy 44"s for several years with 36" tsl"s & gone thru 2 rears but never had a front axle issue & thats with 5.13 gears & detroits But I'v seen alot of dana 30's take a sh$% with 35's then again I just got me a set of tons so I can step to 38's or 40's

well true with finesse you can make a dana 44 last with a 44" tall tire, I've seen it done, buuuut, who actually drives with finesse? Only a few do, so you better make dang sure your ok with doin that.

However the most finesse oriented person I know just had to replace his balljoints on his dana 30 with 35's . . . .

i said step up to 37's just because the RE 5.5, which is what i am assuming you have, with a 1" bl is too big for 35's. i mean you may not be going for the same thing, but i run 35's with my 3.5" coils, long arms, and 1" bl and i have not rubbed yet and still have room to go bigger. if i fixed my bump stops i could run 38's or leave them they way they are and run 37's, but i would be iffy about 37's on a D30. what gears and tranny are you running?

how many miles were on it
with bigger tires its the milage that kills parts like ball joints usually, but no one will argue that dana 30 ball joints are beef, just refer to this thread
this seems to be the most common mode of catastrophic balljoint failure with a dana 30 is losing a shaft/joint and taking them out
