Can I go SOA with 4" Double Wrap Military Springs?

I currently am running the Skyjacker Double Military Wrap 4" lift kit and I want to convert to SOA. Has anybody done or seen a YJ perform with this type of lift? Is there any reason that it would not work?
Thanks
Guy

you may need an oxygen mask and air space clearance for that kind of height.

With that amount of lift, what size tires do you plan on running, and what gearing will you use, and will you axles handle the big tires needed to fill the gap

better be full widths...weebles wobble but they don't fall down...that doesn't apply to jeeps.

To answer, yes you can do it, but, you will need to do more than just the SO. Longer brake lines. Longer drive shafts, most likely CV drive shafts. this will add up to about 8-10 inches of lift. Rule of thumb, if you go up, go out as well. Different axles widths, different back spacing of wheels. A lot of strain on bearings if you go with the wheels though. You will need to adjust with longer bump stops or you WILL have tire rub when you flex it. You will have to adjust your driving style on the road because of swap unless you run sway bars. Taking a leaf out is an option, but I warn that the springs will loose arch a lot quicker.
Just some thoughts

And doing it without hi-steer and with just a D30 in the front will be fun........

Here you go, this is my roommates on 4.5" Rubicon Express leaves SOA, 5:13's, 14B FF, D44, 39.5" TSLs.

I'm keeping the D30 in the front and have an 8.8 for the rear, stock width. 4.88 Gears with lockers front and back, 35" tires and a 4 banger. I think it's high enough now but I want to go spring over to get all the stuff off the bottom of the axles for more clearance.
Thanks for all the comments and the picture.
99NC your a nut!

That red jeep has plenty of extra unsprung weight (over stock) to add to the COG equation helping to counter the SOA lift. I wouldn't venture to calculate it exactly, but as said above, go wide and keep the weight positioned low.

you could just go with the stock springs SOA that would be cheaper and safer on that d30.

What size tire are you going to run?

Your correct, it's just that I don't have the stock springs and the 4 over kits is already on.

I am using the Stock Springs on my 78 Cherokee witha SOA and I got around 6" of lift. I am planning on running 39.5" TSL's. The Springs flex really well.
I am sure some here has the stock springs and might even want to trade.

and the stretch is where the bug will REALLY bite you :)
