Can somebody explain this to me? I saw an item I have a passing interes in listed on craigslist for $40. I pointed out to the seller where I could get it brand new for $35, free shipping to my door. This is the response.

"I paid $35 a month ago for this, so I would like to get $40 for it. I have it right here in WS, no need to wait for something you can't see or touch before you buy. Just good business."

Huh? Was it autographed by celebrities in the meantime? If that's how it works, I'm going to let him borrow some stuff for a couple of months before I sell it!

It's weird.Last year at Halloween I bought this prop that jumped up on a motion sensor.I bought one for $39 at the Spirit store and I thought it was so cool,I wanted to buy more of them.So I started looking at e-bay.People were routinely getting $79 and more for them through the auctions.I went and bought four of them the next day.The cheapest the auction ended at for any of them was $73 with one ending at $87.It was crazy.I had a terrible attack of Jimmy Cricket that stopped me from selling any more of them though.
 
I'm going out on a limb here - but I'm guessing this guy is a believer is immediate gratification... when I want something, I want it RIGHT NOW and waiting for the mail is just too long.

i do know people like that... every one of them chronic "bad life decision" makers.

You know Jimmy Cricket,he played people's Conscience in old Disney Movies.I had a bad attack of conscience,I felt bad making money on something that people could go buy them selves.
 
I was looking into some wireless collars for the in ground fence for our dogs, and lowes wanted $63 I believe and the exact same collars were going for 65-90 on ebay. People are crazy.
