Just really started 4 wheeling so i have a few ?'s. Have a 1985 Chevrolet K10 pickup. It has a 3" body lift and has agricultural tires, not sure what size. Could I fit 35" 12.50 w/ out cutting the fenders or adding another lift? What lift is best, suspension or body? With this truck couldn't I just get some extra leaf springs to get all the lift i want? Know i have a lot of questions, just kind of new to this. Thanks

Well, i assume you want to play in the mud with truck? is it going to see any trail duty? if we knew your intended purpose for this truck we could help out alot.

i'll start with some generic answers.

Suspension is better.

I think 33's is max without cutting or lifting more.

you can swap your leaf springs with some that are lifted or re arched.

adding springs is called an add-a-lift. gets you about 1.5" if lift. stiffens the hell outta the ride.

stay away from lift blocks. your suspension is no place to take short cuts.

For the next month or two this will be my primary vehicle, but i still want to play in the mud. After that it wil strictly be a mud truck, and I'll use it when i go fishing..

I think you can fit 33 stock so 35s should fit now but just measure the tires on it now and go from there

whats wrong with cutting the fenders?

Anything that helps keep the COG lower, is gewd!

You are going to daily drive on Ag tires for the next month or two?

35" tires rub on the front of my 87 k-5 with 4" suspension lift. They will rub when turning on the street and cut themselves on the fenders when wheeling. I had to trim the front and back of the front fenders to solve this. Guess I should update my signature for the bigger tires?

35's?

My 33's rub sometimes in the front when I get in some big ruts and my springs are flexing alot. I have a 4" Rough Country lift with blocks in the rear. I plan on doing a shackel flip later and get rid of my blocks. I havn't had any problems though with the blocks I just think the flip is stronger. This is on a 86 K5.
