can you identify this master cylinder?

here is a pic of an unknown master cylinder that is currently on my bros new purchase.
this thing has two rods thru the back, one for the brakes and one for the clutch slave cylinder. it shares the same resevoir with NO partition inside whatsoever!! the brakes work great but the clutch portion has zero pressure, i need to replace this thing to wheel it but I have no idea what it came off of originally. it is manual brakes and on a totally homebuilt rig.

also check out the booty-fab rear spring shackle hangers, they work quite well!
 
Sorry, I can't help you in the ID.... but, my '95 Merc Tracer (AKA Escort) has a similar system, 1 tank for both. It just bothers me....
 
I'd say off of a Jeep...mid 60s or earlier. Interesting look though. Not a traditional dual or even single circuit design. Two plungers? Side-by-side dual circuit?

If its from a jeep its not a 60's or earlier cj of any type they where all frame mounted and single resovoir.
 
I have no idea what it came from. It might be easyer to just rebuild it than to try and figger out what it is and replace it.
 
i could not find any casting numbers on it anywhere.

That's the heep that the rich kid bought from someone in POR. The one who's dad bought him everything. Goliath I think it was called.
 
Rob gets a cookie:burnout: bought it out of wilimington from a very nice and rich kid. this thing has barely been touched since it competed in ttc 2000, its been sitting for a long time and needs a little lovin to get back on the trail. apparantly this rig was built by multiple "pirates" for their buddy dave eulberg. and it has done all the hard stuff on the left coast already. I shouldnt be able to hurt it too bad.

i just ordered the master online at advance.

That truck does an awesome job of climbing beach house pilings. I'm sure we have pictures around here somewhere.
 
Ouch! For $144, I'd be looking into some wilwood stuff...

We ran into the guy with it at URE twice about 1-2 yrs ago.

Bring that thing to the next ride at the playground.

I saw the Cowboy flip it and then the rig spilled it's guts. You should lower it about a foot. :)
 
That look like some thing that could be replaced by 2 separate cylnders. my 64 j200 had 2 separate one that close.


try a master from a old chev nova and use 2

I crossed their number to a bendix number and got it thru advance. remember my girl is an advance auto mgr. I get her discount.
Im looking at about 95 bucks to bolt it on and finally see how she does on more than yard obstacles.:rolleyes:

we are trying to have all the little stuff stopping it from actually wheeling done by the next DPG invite. Any clue when that is gonna be?????
Its his first real rig so it should be interesting.
