cant delete messages or see new PMs

When I logged in today I see that I have 2 more messages than yesterday, but there is no no "new message" notification and when I open my inbox all of the messages are old. Have I reached my limit? I have 1,121 messages. When I try deleting them I have no luck. I check the boxes next to the messages I want to delete, but there is no "delete" or trash option. How do I delete messages?
 
There's no limit on how many you can have. When you check the box, a toolbox should appear with a button that says "Leave Conversation". Pick as many as you want to delete, then click that button. It'll give you another option to leave it permanently, or accept future replies. If you accept future replies, the other guy can respond to that thread and you'll still get an update.

Normally, you'll get an alert that there are new messages in your inbox, but there are a few things that can interfere with the notification.
 
OH ok, Its a bit confusing that I have to click "leave" in order to delete, It seems kinda backwards. Is there a way to select all the boxes on a page without individually checking each box?

go to your "mailbox" it will say CONVERSATIONS up top. Over on the RH side you should see Selected conversations: 0 ...click it and a menubox will appear in its place, you can SELECT ALL from there.
 
Edit: :lol: Tony beat me to it...

IF you go to your inbox and then the top right it will say "selected conversations: 0"... if you click on that, a box will pop up and there is a "select all" option... not sure if it really selects all, or just eh ones on that page, but it should make the process a little easier.

I tried that 5 times and when I check the box that says "select all" nothing happens, none of the conversations on that page are selected. I went ahead and clicked "leave conversations" anyway and the page flashes but no messages get deleted.
 
hmmm. I see what you're saying, it seems to act like you describe. Dunno, sorry. Start deleting one by one, and to avoid this in the future, stay on top of them from now on. :eek:
 
Are you guys behind a proxy...? Like at work or something?

I've been testing it, and can't get it to work like you're saying. I can pick one or several conversations, or do the "select all" thing that Tony describes, hit leave, and they all disappear....?
