Wish there was a cure! I live beside a railroad track, & it's 150' from an intersection, with traffic light. About 6:15pm, I noticed a small commotion in the street, & a train had just past. A couple were helping reload a refrigerator, into the back of a lifted, ugly,[sorry] 4x4, Dodge truck. They just kinda threw it in at an awkward angle, I'm guessing=to get it out of the road. Those tracks are a little rough! The truck is trying to get backed onto the shoulder, while another man is looking at the tracks. Then I see the man pick up a stove top by the tracks, at the same time the truck backs into our 20MPH, street sign. After the long traffic backup passes, the man, & a young girl, cross the road, & walk down the tracks. I have a row of pine trees there, & then saw the train had hit, guessing the stove!. He didn't bring anything back, but I can see, I've now got some scrap metal! NOW, I know his load wasn't secure; weather or not they were trying to beat the train, is anybody's guess. Wish I had "start to finish" on tape! HEY VERN, WATCH THIS!
