I got in a wreck in GA on Thanksgiving, and I was in my buddys car and he was driving. We were on I-95 in Brunswick at about 1 am and some one ran into the side of the car and ran us into the wall and left the scene. And as it turns out my buddy didn't have any insurance on the car. So my question is would my car insurance pay for my medical bills (general Liability). I had another friend that said he was in a similar situation and his insurance paid him, but I wanted to get a few more educated guesses before I asked my insurance company.

I do have medical but I'm still left with about 5,000 to pay after the surgery and everything. I broke my face and apparently the cost of metal is up cause the plates they put in my face are costing me a killing.

2 Things. 1st, on your own auto policy do you have Med Pay coverage? Usually sold in $1000 amounts. This will provide you coverage for your med bill's only & doesn't matter who's car you were in or even if you are a predistrain.

2nd, on your own policy do you have uninsured motorist coverage? Works the same as above, up to your uninsured motorist coverage on your policy, & will pay both med bills & compenstation. If you have either of these on your policy, you need to contact your agent & file a claim. If you don't have a copy of your policy handy, call your agent & ask? Questions are free...

thanks for the input, it was helpful. I am covered!
