My daily driver 2004 wrx 5 speed wagon developed a loud stereo pop crack noise when turning left left. The Pop is worse the harder the turn, initiate a little body roll and the devil comes out of the front speakers. I need some suggestions on where to look next.

It came with an older eclipse amp, front component speakers and original head unit.

2 weeks ago I installed a new jvc Bluetooth head unit. I drove from Raleigh to snowshoe WV and back with no problem. Now suddenly, I've got issues. I've triple checked my install as well as power fuse and built in fuses in the amp. There are no obvious breaks in the wiring anywhere.

Possibly internal amp or head unit fault?

I have had horrible luck with JVC on 4 different brand new head units. Never will have another. I'd say that's your problem. But more realistically its possible you have a ground issue somewhere that is being effected by the force of a left turn. My best guess.
A good start would be to install the other radio again and see what happens.

No, its been years ago. They were like $140 from Walmart. Nothing super fancy. It was enough to turn me from any future JVC stuff.

Google the model number you have+problems and see if other people are having issues.

I had 1 & 1 only JVC that was in a truck when I bought it. It was brand new, the guy had put it in a couple of months before & it was enough for me to swear off them forever!

Sounds like u have a speaker wire that is grounding out unplug the main harness from the head unit and take a light tester and check the speaker wires to see if they're grounded

mdf speaker depth adapter ring in the door fell apart after my some loud tunes and spirited driving through WV, allowing the speaker to swing in turns about the top screw. Just enough space in the door panel for the terminals on the back to hit metal panel opening.
