i have a 78 cj7 i just rebuilt the motor it has a 304 bored 20 over and a low end torq cam witch i hate this jeep is more for driving than wheeling had the same carb on the motor before i built it, but it has been settin and now it dont want to run to great just want to see some opinions on what you guys think would be good to do thanks

A lot of carb problems are something else such as ignition, timing, and often vacumn leaks. Check fuel pump volume and pressure and most important the filter. Carbs like to be clean inside with proper level of fuel. Gas doesn't store well especially in carbs when the light stuff evaporates quickly leaving behind the heavy stuff to clog little passages .

Sounds like it running too rich or actually flooding. Needle valve bad or dirty. If you have a plastic float they get "heavy" and don't float at proper level raising level of fuel in bowl too high.
