ok so my motor isnt exactly stock, with that said this is what i have..... 355 10.5 to 1 dart 200cc heads 1.5 intake rockers 1.6 exhaust comp cam with .535 lift on a 108 deg lobe sep. (all i can remember with out the card) full msd system. or with that being said can i find someone to build a quadrajet to act right off road? or is the holley truck avenger worth a crap? efi systems for nonstock motor are around 2k in price, new pane kit is $1300. ok i will drive it on the street from time to time, not my dd at all but it may see a 80 mile trip once in a while. i have read a lot about propane but are they as tuff as the companys claim they are? i dont know anyone personaly that runs it.

You can get used propane kits cheap and they are 104-114 octane so your motor will be very happy with it. I got a 500 gallon tank set at my house so I fill my own smaller tanks and it cost about $2.00 a gallon so much cheaper than gas also.

what size tank or tanks will i need to have 20+ gallons? like to at least carry what my fuel cell holds. i have a home propane tank that will no longer be used after we do a heat pump. guess i could just leave it be and buy in bulk to save some $$ in the long run.

Use forklift tanks. Steel 8 gallon tanks are common and cheap. Get two and that should last all day. If you want you can get 4 and leave two in the tow rig to swap out. More rare are the 10 gallon tanks which give you a little more. If you can find aluminum tanks they are better because they are lighter and if for some reason they were to rupture they don't create a spark so they are safer too.

yea aluminum tanks are all i had planned on using. i found a guy around on craigslist that has some. i would love to run dual fuel but then ill still need a carb. i still haent found much on used kits either.

a kit for a 22r would not have the correct size mixer and possibly not the correct regulator either...

If you are going to drive it alot on the road go carb, efi, or dual fuel... i say try a predator

i sold the predator because i couldnt find anyone local with any knowledge on it. i leaning tward dual fuel with a q-jet

everything

i belive ill go dual fuel, it says max hp 360, i should be ok. its not like ill be drag racing this heap. ill run a q-jet as well. 2 33.5 lb tanks and i have a 22 gal fuel cell.

whos good with q-jets, they guy who did my dads stock 8 circle track stuff died...
