I'm not a Jeep guy. But a friend has asked me to help him out with his carb. He has an 86 cj-7. He is having problems with it starting. Just so he can get it to idle he has adjusted the throttle screw to give it more throttle. If the Jeep sits for three or more days he says that it is a real pain in the a$$ to start. If he gets it started it wants to cut off if he gives it gas. He normally will let it roll down the driveway and dump the clutch a few times till it finally starts. He also says that on the road if he give sit too much gas it will fall on its face. He had somebody replaced the carb but it ran fine for a week. I'm guessing that the idle mixtures screws are not set correctly. He thinks it has something to do with the choke.
Are there any Jeep guys on here that can help me out? Thanks
