ok i have 3 to choose from one holley 750 d.p., a edelbrock 600, and a predator carb. and a qurdrajet if its not gone by tomorrow. iam going f.i. as soon as i can unless i run across a propane duel fuel kit. can i mod the holley to work like the holley truck avenger?

q-jet.

The biggest issue with the Holly is the big bowl allows for foaming, you can set the floats to allow less fuel and less foaming, but then you have to run extenders for the pick up, you can also get foam and a spacer to to keep the foaming down to a minimum. Extend the vent tubes like the avenger.
Still it's not that good IMO
No experience with the predator
Edelbrock are so so
A quadra jet works pretty good, even better if you run it backward. You can use the throttle cable from a early model Lumina(it's long) to get your throttle working right, just have to loop it around
I have not actually seen a dual fuel set up working. The biggest issue I see is that the timing won't work too goo at one setting for both. Pane likes advanced timing.
OK now that I confused you, I will stop LOL

yea i figured i would hear more q-jet than any, and i did read somewhere about running one backwards.

the timing issue could be solved with some items from MSD, advance or retard the time from the cab.

i saw a BDB buggy running a predator at the spring event, but i dont remember which one it was. ill look sat to see if i see it again.

They're pretty simple, but you can buy rebuilt qjets super cheap all day long. That would be my only choice for a 4bbl carb.

Though there was a guy that raced the ecors race in harlan that ran a predator on his c class buggy and did pretty well.

My Vote is the Predator. I ran one on my 454 before I went TBI. It has unreal throttle response and will run on its side. Its super simple but its tall so hood clearance might be an issue

Q/jet
