It would be illegal for me to ask somebody to run a carfax for me (and then do it).

However, I have a VIN here that I think would be nice to run...

If anybody has an account at the moment and would like to send me a PM explaining how much they enjoy the service, it would be greatly appreciated.

More like "Carfax is cracking down on people sharing the service in public forums and will cancel the account".

To the person that brought this back from the dead, yes, it's against policy on the carfax site to do this. It voids the membership.

Is the manner in which Ratlabguy did it ok? I am not asking you to ban him by any means. Just wondering if there are loopholes in the system.

I had no idea of the ban hammer on the carfax thing and was about to ask for one myself.

By the way...how do you get the carfax 30 day services?

IMHO I think at one time no one really thought about it.. But since everyone has made an issue of it and is all PC and stuff these days, well we have to do the right thing. Loopholes ? Dylan... ummm www.carfax.com I've purchased it on almost every car I've purchased.. Money well spent IMHO...
