A nice fun and cheap build we've got in the shop right now.

This is a 1968 M-109 that started life as a Com rig in the military. It's been long awaiting the trip to the shop to shed some weight.

The com box was pulled and we are using a bob kit from Eastern Surplus to drop the rear axle off and outfit it with 50" Goodyears. A military trailer was also purchased so we are taking the trailer body off of that and making it the "bed" of the deuce as many have done.

This is just a build that makes us all feel like we're 10 again...big ass truck, relatively easy to do, and for what it is cheap as hell

The bed should be on later this week as soon as the new driveshaft is complete

ENJOY ...

It would be kinda cool to extend the trailer, hook up another trailer axle and put the com box on it to make camper trailer out of it.

The bob looks good.

Just thought about it. Before I meant to say the BOB looks good. Also the trailer idea would make good use of all those military tires and be attention graber at the ECOR or other events as a giant tool/parts box or Rest box at events.

I assume all the concrete slabs and junk are beside your shop? The truck will be a head turner for sure. They're one on ebay that is similar but it is a four door that looks great.

customer rig or owned by ya'll?

looks good

It's a customers, although now we're considering getting ahold of one for the shop!

thanks for the link...very good thread!

Yea that's the start of a "rock pile", still needs some working and some boulders

oh it's a very cool idea...before the bob it was a tailgaters dream, had a couch in the box with a cooler and your set lol

Cool build!

Looking back to the late 70's when I was a motor Sgt I reallt wasn't that impressed with them but taking off all that weight might make the old multifuel pretty peppy...Anyone make any performance upgrades for them?
