Cash for Gold

Anybody have experience with a cash for gold place, either local or mail-in?

I got a couple pounds of 10-14k 1/10 G.F. new scrap that I need to move.

Thought about ebay...GF seems to sell for higher than it's worth there, but man, I hate eBay.
 
Believe WSOC-TV, did a piece while back, on that. Most mail in was a ripoff. How U goina trust them. You got to insure it, if U don't like offer, U gotta get it back. Wouldn't do that! I would only trust somewhere like Perrys Jewels, with certified gemologists. Be Careful !
 
Try Goldeneagle.com, website shows everything you need. You could also try a pawn shop.
 
Spent too much time on the phone today but finally found ONE place that is buying gold filled. I am going to test them out with a pound or so... Looks like i am ending up with about 10# total.
 
You have 10 POUNDS of gold?!!!! You realize Gold is worth almost $1900 an OUNCE right? I see a new buggy in your future.......

I went to National Jewelry and Pawn. I had a couple of old rings and braclets that my wife had. Dont know exactly how much I had in weight, but I got alittle over a thousand dollars in cash. That was about 8 months ago when gold wasnt as much as it is now. I was just happy to get a grand for some old crap laying around the house.
