Caught a beaver at work

Was working in the power house tonight when a beaver was seen. Took us about a hr to catch him. He went from main floor to 5 floors down on cable trays and piping. He was about 3 ft long and over 40 lbs. He was released on another part of our property.

Holy crap if that was me the pic would have to be snapped fast 'cause I wouldn't be holding him long like that!

I saw two beavers in the parking lot of a local restaurant last Friday night. I was pleasantly surprised! Sadly, I had no time for a photo shoot.
 
Yea I made sure I put this in the chit chat section. We have open bay doors on the main floor of the plant. That's how he got in. Holding him by the tail was easy because he was already wore out from us catching him. He was calm during the release. With 2500 acres of property...he will have to make a great adventure to get back in the plant. The belt is a good idea but im sure management would flip out.
 
Iv'e grabbed my share of opposums by the tail before, yanked a big one out of a tree it tried to climb one night after drankin, but every time Iv'e cornered a grown beaver it turned to fight and I declined. They move alot faster than a possum :eek:
 
Yea they are fast. There was five of us trying to get him. After a hour he gave up. I guess he was ready to get out of there :D
