I figured you guys would be able to help, since I installed my cb radio the fm radio is almost unusable. Since I put in the cb there has been static when I try to listen to the fm radio. My aux input sounds fine and today when I finally got the coaxial cable in and fully wired up the cb the interference got even worse. All I get is static and interference now even when the cb is off. Is there any way to fix this or do other people have this issue?

Best way to power a CB is directly to the battery for both power and ground. Had the same issue till my dad told me to do this.

I'm not sure how it's wired, the previous owner had it wired for the power wire. The wires go into the crease where the windshield folds and I can't follow them after that. I sent him a text asking but he hasn't gotten back. I don't see the wires at the battery or at the fuse box.

Never mind, he just responded and doesn't remember how he wired it. It cuts off with vehicle power so it's not directly to the battery

Chances are its power source is being shared with the same ACC wire for your radio. Just re-wire it and you should be good to go.
Let us know if this fixes it.

So I figured out what it was, I pulled the radio to check its wiring and the antenna wire to the radio was halfway out of its connector. I soldered the connector back on and it works much better now. I'll probably still rewire the cb directly to the battery though so I can use it with the vehicle off.

Jeeps have a switched and a constant hot wire behind the glove box. Both fused. That's where my CV is tied in... But I don't have an FM radio... At least, not that sort of fm radio.
