CB Question

Wondering if CB handsets are interchangeable?

I have a CB that I'm pretty certain the handset is shot. So as long as the plugs are the same, can you just swap them? or is there more to it than that?

i swapped my factory uniden mic out for a powered/amplified mic that came with my Cobra 29... both work great and now i dont have constant feedback with the cobra...

Yes, and no. Cobra and Uniden are wired the same, most others are different. You can look up the wiring and swap around as needed if you have one that isnt right.

any idea about UNIC? ( oh and that's U N I C, not Eunuch for any smart asses)

maybe an off brand and not worth it.

I cant find any information on the UNIC brand radios. If you took the mic apart and figured out what color wire goes where, you can match it up to whatever you need.
