CB wont turn on

Just as the title states, my CB will not turn on. Id rather not take it to a CB shop for them t tell me something simple, like I hope it is. Ive checked all of the wires and changed the fuse even though the old one was completely fine. Any answer would be great.
 
It has been a few months, any solution to this? The only suggestion left that I could think of is to check your protection diodes inside the radio if equipped. But these are newer radios and a lot of surface mounted technology is used so the only option you might have left is to take it in to a shop or get it exchanged if you have any warranty on it.

Yes I found a deeply hidden cut in the power cable. But thanks for replying anyways! Any help is good help
 
I supposed that I assumed that when you said you checked the wires and changed the fuse, that you verified you were getting good power. I'm glad that it ended up not being the radio and everything works now! Because I know digging into the bowls of a radio can be frustrating. Thanks for the follow up :)
