Cedar Slab bar

I am making an outside bar and want to use a cedar slab about 6' long with live edges, 16"-18" wide and 3''-4" thick and I want to put resin on it. Fill me in on what NOT to do wrong!

Most Polyurethanes are not UV stable and will yellow. Try to find a Polyaspartic, aliphatic resin. Whatever you get, do your reading and make sure it’s UV stable.

Have a heat gun handy for bubbles, and you can “polish” it out with really fine steel wool if you need more shine.

This would seem to be @Fabrik8 s department.

I would say a marine (poly)urethane finish, uv rated.. used to be helmsman spar urethane I think..
