CEL on

I pulled the code in a friends 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L. The code was P1687 No Cluster Bus Message (Chrysler, Jeep). The guage ass. isn't working properly either. I was curious if anyone on here has delt with this code before? Thanks for any help.

the was a similar issuie on wranglers. it came down the the connector at the cluster having a poor connection.
