Ceramic coatings

What do you all think about its effectiveness and where could I get this done at? I'm looking for an alternative to exhaust wrap for my headers.

There's a Jet Hot coatings place along I 40/85 somewhere between Burlington and Greensboro. Not too sure how close that is to you. And I have no experience what-so-ever with them so that's all I'm good for on this subject. Good luck!

That shit doesn't work. The guy at Jet Hot promised great results, but the product didn't deliver. I wasted a lot of time and the company's money experimenting with that stuff on our exhaust systems here at Volvo for the 2007 models. I was trying to accomplish two things. First to protect the surrounding components (cab floor, cab suspension, cab skirts, fuel tanks etc) from heat, and two to hold the heat in the exhaust pipe so the catalyst in the DPF would get as hot as possible.

Thanks for the detailed response Danny. So what route did Volvo and you take on that one?

1/2" thick ceramic fiber insulation wrapped around the exhaust pipe.
