Drove by the Toyota dealer tonight and was disgusted.
In the Cash for clunkers row was a nice looking YJ and 4 decent looking XJ's. Pisses me off!

dude, I just read an article in the new Off Road mag today that said SEMA got congress to amend the CFC legislature to allow parts from those vechicles (except engine) to be sold back to the public. there is more information on it at their website. www.sema.org

Shoot LKQ has been selling parts off them for quite a while now.. you can even buy engine parts off them.


Honestly.. With the flood of good used parts, it actually helps the 4x4 sport by making it more affordable to folks by lower part prices.

All the salvage yards have a chance to buy the clunkers once the dealers get there money from the Gov. and they have 180 days to strip it of its usable parts (Minus the engine) and they must be crushed at the end of the 180 days.

there is a large yard in Salisbury, but the last time i checked they were not selling to the public
